Hazel Luella Melvin Watson Lloyd Deibel, 88, passed away October 15, 2006. She was born August 5, 1918 in Knox County, Indiana to the late Ora and Margaret (Hardesty) Melvin.She grew up in Martin County and graduated from Trinity Springs High School. Mrs. Deibel was a homemaker and a member of Agape Christian Church. She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Lisa Lloyd; sons, Jeffrey and Kerry Lloyd; sisters, Verdene McNeel and Julia Dorsett; grandchildren, Prudence (Lloyd) Dillehay, Brent Lloyd, Benjamin Lloyd and Kristina (Lloyd) Schuster; great granddaughter, Shaynin Morrow. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Howard Grove Lloyd and Richard Deibel; son, Douglas Jay Watson; sisters, Helen and Velma Joan Melvin; and brothers, Pearle, Lowell, and Ora Melvin.Mrs. Deibel lived a long life, and endured a long and trying illness, in peace and joy with the spirit of Jesus Christ in her heart.Graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 19 in Grand View Cemetery, West Lafayette, IN, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Howard Lloyd.
